Healthy nutritious and great tasting recipes can definitely help you on your weight loss mission, no more eating cardboard tasting crackers and bland bitter greens, get inventive, get creative and get cooking! You don't need to buy pre-packaged meals that are expensive and riddled with sodium, by cooking your own meals you can eat so much more because YOU are in control of your sugar and salt intake. You may find that some of my recipes are not sweet enough or contain enough salt, it is up to you to add more, I personally like to trim back on these ingredients where possible. Whenever I bake and the recipe calls for 1 cup of sugar, I generally use 1/2 a cup of sugar instead especially if I am baking a fruit loaf, cake or muffins. In New Zealand we have a low GI sugar called Logicane, this is the sugar I use.
My recipes are based on ingredients found in my pantry and fridge so there are no special ingredients required, just basic everyday foods that don't cost a fortune. Always consult a healthcare professional before undertaking a weight loss regime. These recipes were created for me, by me so just be aware of your medical needs eg: allergies. I have NOT counted calories, fat or sodium in any of my recipes, they are all created through common sense choices, using a lot of raw fresh ingredients and keeping an eye on portion control. I must warn you though, the sweet treats and baked goods sections are not for the faint hearted, these recipes are not fat free, they are a healthier option than reaching for high sugar high fat treats BUT only attempt to create these recipes if you can control your portion size, I have limited myself to one treat per week.
